At this time, Gurwitch Products, distributors of the Laura Mercier line of color cosmetics, purchased RéVive to expand their reach abroad. Dr. Brown, who had been RéVive’s CEO until then, took on the post of chief of creative services. His duties would center on product creation, design, and distribution. Dr. Brown says he had to sell RéVive to make his goal of making the brand ubiquitous worldwide a reality.

Following its 2016 purchase of Gurwitch Products, Shiseido Company Limited also became the owner of RéVive Skincare. Shiseido initially saw no conflict between RéVive and its history of innovative skincare because of its use of cutting-edge science and recuperative ingredients. Until now, the United Kingdom and the United States have been RéVive’s exclusive markets.
